Northern Frontier was founded in 1946 by men working in Christian Service Brigade groups in their local churches. They banded together to form this corporation first known as The Brigade Camp Association of Metropolitan New York and Northern New Jersey. It was built on the concepts, methods and Biblical principles adhered to by the corporation Christian Service Brigade and retains those distinctives by design and purpose.
Northern Frontier's programs enable mentors to guide groups of boys/young men through adventure-packed, action-filled experiences that grow young people closer to God ... and equip them to be leaders of tomorrow. In addition, through programs designed specifically for them, Northern Frontier seeks to nurture and develop the relationship between fathers and sons.
Northern Frontier's mission is to win and develop boys, young men, and men to become leaders for Christ. To equip boys, young men and men to understand and practice how God works in lives to bring about internal, lasting change that will enable them to stand strong in their moral and Biblical convictions thereby affecting those around them positively for Christ.
Northern Frontier's character lies in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the Word of God, and is vested in its Board of Directors. Northern Frontier is non-denominational, comprised of believers in Jesus Christ, and is subject to no ecclesiastical body. Northern Frontier is a non-profit corporation.
Northern Frontier believes that the Biblical and most effective way to communicate spiritual truth is from person to person. The statement, "A man, a boy and a Bible" represents the basics of Northern Frontier's methods. Northern Frontier's activities are designed to develop a counselor/camper relationship through which spiritual truths and truths about Christian manhood can be transferred.
Rules for acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone, without regard to race, color, national origin or religious beliefs. Boys and their fathers do not have to be members of Christian Service Brigade to participate in Northern Frontier Camp.

We believe that the Bible, composed of the sixty-six (66) books of the Old and the New Testaments, is inspired of God by verbal, plenary inspiration, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His physical return in power and glory.
We believe that all people were created in the image of God; that they sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word and deed.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
Northern Frontier Camp consistently generates an excellent Summer staff of young men. Young men who demonstrate a maturity in their faith and other areas of their life in order to be effective counselors and role models for your son.
