LATEST LAND PURCHASE INFORMATION:
This letter has two purposes.
The first is to let you know that the fruit of your fund raising efforts for Northern Frontier’s land purchases
has reached 100% of the goal! I and the rest of the Northern Frontier Board of Directors extend a sincere
and grateful “Thank You” to all of you who prayed and gave and shared with others the fund raising need
Northern Frontier had for the purchase of the land around OK Slip, and then for the purchase of the parking
lot at the end of the camp road.
The purchase of the parking lot has taken place. For the first time, Northern Frontier has ownership of that
piece of property so critical to NF’s ministry on summer Saturdays, for staging of materials and equipment
for maintenance of the camp road, and for added control of the only vehicular access point into camp.
We continue to work with The Nature Conservancy, and have recently contacted them to arrange a meeting
to finalize the purchase and sale agreement for the land around OK Slip and to set a closing date.
The second purpose of this letter is to remind you of the ongoing financial needs of Northern Frontier. To
some, it may seem odd to receive a contribution envelope with a letter that says we have reached our fund
raising goal, but that there is still an ongoing need. While the Land Fund Raising goal has been met, the
ongoing financial need of the General Fund to maintain the ministry of Northern Frontier requires the
continuous stream of donations that NF’s donors have been so faithful to provide.
With this letter of ‘praise to God’ and ‘thanks to you,’ I ask you to consider a one-time gift - or continued
giving - to Northern Frontier’s ongoing financial needs.
If you have signed up on our website (northernfrontier.org) to receive NF’s e-mail updates, you have heard
from our Director, Ralph Essery, about the wonderful summer of ministry Northern Frontier experienced in
2011. I hope you will join with me and hundreds of others who love and appreciate this ministry to make
sure it continues to introduce young men and boys to Christ and guide them to growth in Him.
In Christ,
Jim Everett
Northern Frontier Board Chairman
