Battalion
For teen guys through age 16
At age 12 you leave the Stockade and move to the Battalion end of camp. You stay in a cabin with guys your own age, no 12 year olds with 15 year olds and no 16 year olds with 13 year olds.
Bring a friend if you want, but it's easy to make friends at Northern Frontier. Two of the best friends you'll make will be your own counselors. You'll think Northern Frontier counselors are cool, and the counselors think Jesus Christ is cool too. They will help you toward real manhood, not the fake manhood others offer you.
You can come to Northern Frontier for one or two weeks and choose activities like archery, riflery, canoeing, rock climbing, rocketry, fishing, ropes course or sailing to name just a few. You'll enjoy campfires each night including skits and an exciting story told by one of the counselors you'll get to know. The chances are that your time at Northern Frontier will be your best week of the summer.
Sessions: Each "Saturday to Saturday"

CORE TRAINING
CORE TRAINING is a challenging new two-week program designed for young men 14-16 years old who desire to grow as men of God, and hopefully become Northern Frontier staff. The focus of the program comes from Matthew 22:36-39, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all you're your soul, and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself." CORE TRAINING is intended to direct focus first upward, then outward.
Through a wide variety of challenging, fun and thought-provoking activities, these young men will examine what it means to be a man of God, how to serve God in ministry at camp and at home, and how to deal with life from a godly perspective. They will also be challenged physically and learn to put their reliance on God as well as on the other young men in the program.
CORE TRAINING is limited to six spots. Any young men desiring to participate must apply and submit references. For an application, contact Program Director, Chris Studley at cstudley@northernfrontier.org or 215-493-2995.
Kayak Trip: You will learn the fundamentals of kayaking, how to "pack light" and how to control and maneuver your kayak in a variety of conditions. You'll enjoy cruising the larger lakes and be challenged by some shallow water, twisting, wandering rivers and portages. You will experience breathtaking wildlife and spectacular scenery. You will be encouraged in how to grow in your relationship with God. Our kayaks are new 13 foot Perception Acadias. The trip is limited to six campers with two trip leaders, so sign up early for an awesome adventure.
Explorer Trip: You'll spend two days canoeing, a day rock climbing (weather permitting), and two days hiking in the Adirondack High Peaks with two leaders and five other guys. You'll come back in better shape, with more skills, more friends, and, we hope, a closer walk with Christ. Pre-requisite, good physical condition, strength and endurance.
